Vysoká (2547m)

Symmetrical and impressive peak, near Ťažký peak and Rumanova with Dračia (Dragon) valleys. It is one of the most beautiful and most photographed peaks in the middle of the High Tatras.

Starting point is Popradské pleso (or Štrbsk pleso). From there into Zlomiskova valley up to Dračie (Dragon) saddle. Then a small ridge and thence to NW summit. Moderately difficult but interesting variant is traverse of both peaks (SE and NW). Descent leads the over the saddle "Kohútik" to the Chata pod Rysmi (cottage under Rysy peak). Technically easy climb. This is an all-day climb, therefore good physical condition is  more than a necessary.

Winter climb through the Dračie (Dragon) saddle. An excelent experience with a real chance to have the summit for yourself. Alpine route with crampons and ice axe. Good physical condition is a necessary.
