Lomnicky peak (2634m)

The second highest peak of High Tatras, Slovakia and the whole Carpathians. In the past it was considered the highest peak of High Tatras. Ascent from any sides is the best of the Tatras offer.

Normal route from Lomnicky saddle

The starting point is the Skalnate pleso. Using chair lift or walk to Lomnicke saddle and from there to the summit. Ascent is not so difficult. Low time requirements and optimum availability make it ideal for less experienced who would like to climb to very nice peak.

Very interesting ascent route. It provides the most interesting of the Lomnicky peak. Very exposed descent to Tery couloir where fear of heights has no place. Ascent underneath legendary wall the High Tatras and incredible views to around scenery in the final. Route is moderately challenging, but exposed. Designed for those who want to experience a slightly atypical in the High Tatras.

Ascent and descent is the same as Normal route from Lomnicky saddle. In winter, however, takes a unique, almost Alpine dimension. Route is moderately challenging and suitable also for less experienced.
